Response: My interpretation of Atticus' quote was that if somebody you know has a difficult life and you are making fun of them how would you like to be in the same boat as them one day.  If you ended up in Boo's shoes and found out that people were making fun of you because of one thing that you did in your past. How would you feel? If it were me this would seem unfair because people who don't even know me are beginning to make fun of  something that he probally didn't want to happen. If people gave Boo an actual chance to show them what his real persanality was then maybe you would never end up teasing him again or you even might find that person to be very nice.
