The Scottsboro Boys By Bobbi and Sarah:)

On March 25, 1931 in Memphis, Tennessee there was a fight that occurred on the Southern Railroad freight run between a group African American boys and a group white boys. The African American teenagers ended up winning the fight and stayed on the the train, while only one white boys remained aboard the train. There were also two young white women on the train and they accused the black boys of rape. As a cause of this, the boys were convicted and sentenced to death. Later on one of the girls admitted that this was a false accusation, and the boys were released on parole, but not before one was already killed. No crime in American history has produced as many trials, convictions, reversals, and retrials as this case did.
