The 1930s Cha Cha A. and Hannah T.

The Great Depression was an economic hardship that began in 1929 and lasted until about 1939.  The Great Depression may have begun when the stock market prices collapsed on the New York Stock Exchange in October 1929.  Over the next three years, they continued to fall, causing the economy to fail.In the 1930s, there was a lot of segregation. Everything was segregated, from schools, to restaurants, and bathrooms. African Americans were not considered equal. Astronauts had calculations to find Neptune, but they were incorrect; Pluto was accidentally discovered. Soil turned very dusty, so farmers could not grow crops.    (english.illinois.edu)
